EPF Calculator
Project your Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) balance at retirement, with salary increases, voluntary PF and the current EPF interest rate.
What is the EPF Calculator?
EPF is a retirement savings scheme run by EPFO. You contribute 12% of basic + DA, and your employer contributes 12%, of which 8.33% (up to ₹1,250 a month) goes to the Employees’ Pension Scheme and the rest to your EPF account.
How does it work?
Contributions are added monthly and interest is calculated on the monthly running balance, credited once a year. Salary increases each year by the growth rate you enter.
Formula
Monthly credit = 12% × Basic + VPF + (12% × Basic − EPS)
Interest = Σ monthly balance × rate ÷ 12
Example
Starting at age 28 with ₹30,000 basic, ₹2 lakh balance, 7% yearly salary growth and 8.25% interest, the corpus at 58 is about ₹2.32 crore.
