What is the Salary Comparison Calculator?
Salaries quoted per hour and per year are hard to compare directly. Converting both to annual figures makes the comparison fair.
How does it work?
Each salary is annualised using your weekly working hours and a 5-day week over 52 weeks. The calculator then shows the difference in rupees and percent.
Formula
Annual = Hourly × hours/week × 52 = Daily × 5 × 52 = Monthly × 12
Example
₹75,000 a month (₹9,00,000 a year) versus ₹10,00,000 a year: Salary B is higher by ₹1,00,000 a year, or 11.11%.
