How does it work?
Fuel needed = distance ÷ mileage; cost = fuel needed × price per litre. Round trips double the distance.
Formula
Cost = Distance ÷ Mileage × Price per litre
Example
A 300 km trip each way at 15 km/L with petrol at ₹105 needs 40 litres and costs ₹4,200 — ₹1,400 each for 3 people.
